Effective date: 10 August 2026
These terms govern your use of gigabit.studio, your Gigabit Studio account, and the newsletter. Please read them before using the service.
Who provides the service
Gigabit Studio is an independent publishing platform built and operated by Jacek Kowalski in Brussels, Belgium.
Accepting these terms
You accept these terms when you create an account or use the service. If you do not accept them, do not create an account or continue using restricted features.
If you cannot legally enter this agreement, use the service only with permission from a parent, guardian, or authorised representative.
What the service includes
Gigabit Studio publishes news, analysis, documentation, video, and related content. Some content requires an account.
The service may also offer newsletter delivery and a contact form for enquiries. A separately agreed proposal or contract governs paid consulting work.
Your account
Provide an email address that belongs to you and keep your sign-in details secure. You are responsible for activity that occurs through your account unless the law says otherwise.
Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. You can change your password, use two-factor authentication, add passkeys, sign out everywhere, or delete the account in Account settings.
You may not transfer, sell, or share the account in a way that compromises security. You may create only the accounts you need for lawful personal or business use.
Newsletter
The newsletter is optional. You join by turning it on in Account settings.
You can unsubscribe through Account settings or the link in any newsletter. A delivery failure, hard bounce, or complaint may pause or stop delivery.
The Privacy Policy explains how we process newsletter data.
Acceptable use
Use the service lawfully and respect other people. You must not:
- Attempt to access another person’s account or restricted systems
- Bypass security, authentication, access controls, or rate limits
- Interfere with the service or place an unreasonable load on it
- Introduce malware or harmful code
- Scrape or copy content in breach of law or these terms
- Use the service to infringe privacy, intellectual property, or other rights
- Misrepresent your identity or connection with Gigabit Studio
- Use automated access where we have clearly prohibited it
Security research requires written permission before testing production systems.
Content and intellectual property
Gigabit Studio and its licensors own the website design, software, articles, videos, graphics, and branding. Copyright, trade mark, database, and other laws protect this material.
You may read, link to, and quote limited extracts as the law allows. Any notice attached to content may grant additional rights.
You may not reproduce, republish, sell, or create a substantial substitute for our content without permission. Mandatory exceptions, including quotation and reporting rights, still apply.
“Gigabit Studio” and associated branding may not be used to imply endorsement or affiliation without written permission.
Information is not professional advice
Our news, analysis, and documentation provide general information. They are not legal, regulatory, financial, investment, or other professional advice.
Check important information and seek qualified advice before acting on it. Publication does not create an adviser, client, fiduciary, or similar relationship.
Third-party services and links
The service uses third-party providers and may link to external services. Their own terms and privacy notices can apply when you use them.
We do not control external websites. A link does not mean that we endorse all external content.
Availability and changes
We aim to keep the service secure and available, but we do not promise uninterrupted access. Maintenance, security issues, provider failures, or legal requirements may cause interruptions.
We may add, change, or remove features and content. We will give reasonable notice when a change materially affects an ongoing service, unless an urgent security or legal reason prevents notice.
Suspending or ending access
You can stop using the service at any time. You can permanently delete your account in Account settings.
We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably needed to:
- Protect users, systems, or third parties
- Investigate a suspected breach of these terms
- Comply with law or a binding order
- Respond to non-payment under a separate paid agreement
Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and allow you to respond. We may end an account for a serious or repeated breach.
Terms on intellectual property, liability, governing law, and disputes continue after an account ends.
Responsibility and liability
We provide the public content and free service on an “as available” basis. We will use reasonable care and skill when the law requires it.
To the extent the law allows, Gigabit Studio is not liable for indirect or unforeseeable loss. This includes lost profit, business interruption, or lost opportunity.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded. This includes liability for fraud, deliberate misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, and mandatory consumer rights.
If you use the service as a consumer, Belgian and European Union consumer protections remain unchanged.
Privacy and cookies
The Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data. The Cookie Policy explains cookies, browser storage, and analytics choices.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms for legal, security, or service changes. The date at the top shows when the current terms take effect.
We will give reasonable notice of a material change that affects registered users. Continuing to use the affected service after the effective date means the updated terms apply.
Belgian law and disputes
Belgian law governs these terms, without removing mandatory protections under the law of your home country. The courts identified by applicable Belgian and European Union law may hear disputes.
Contact us first so we can try to resolve the issue. You may also use any consumer mediation or court process available under applicable law.
